For anyone else who isn’t sure about the start and finish times for TLC 120, I have spoken to Sarah Veitch the Unit Coordinator and she advises that we start on 17 August 2009 and finish as per the normal teaching year. That is, the first week of November is the last teaching week, the second week of November is a study break and the next two weeks are the assessment period.
Just read on Murdoch news that the University is launching a new Online Communication and Production course that appears to be exactly what I am looking for. I cant wait!
Kathryn Greenhill ,the library’s Emerging Technology Specialist and her team of presenters helped us explore a range of free online tools that can be used for teaching, learning, research and managing daily work.
July 20, 2009, marks the 40th anniversary of the first human landing on the moon.
At the risk of revealing just how old I am, I can clearly remember this momentous event. I was in year four or five at Ben Venue primary school in Armidale NSW. The entire school crowded into one classroom to watch the landing on the school’s only television.
Thinking back to this time released a cascade of memories which has left me going through the bittersweet exercise of ‘googling’ my classmates names from all those years ago.
Anyway, here is my little commemorative gallery to celebrate the anniversary. Click on any of the thumbnails to view the full size gallery.
I thought I would reply to you in a post so I can say more.
I am really looking forward to starting as well but the waiting is getting to me. As the time gets closer I am feelimg a bit anxious about my choices etc. Strangely though, when I am on campus I feel less anxious…perhaps it helps just being around people going through the same thing.
I have been on campus a couple of times over the last few days organising a computer through the Eight Ball Program, if anyone needs a computer for their studies this is a fantastic program.
It is great to have finally got Exultant to a stage where OnTrackers can participate. I am very happy to welcome onboard our first members – Colin, Kim and Griselda.
Enrolling in my first undergraduate units has been another milestone for me this week – it was a pretty daunting task involving more than I first imagined (a bit like OnTrack ). After talking with fellow OnTrackers and a friend (a fourth year student at Mudoch) I managed to sort through it and get all the required activities (tutes and lectures) slotted in. You can check out my enrolled units on my profile page.
Did anyone else find the enrollment process a challenge?
